The IITB-Monash Research Academy, based in Mumbai, India is an exciting partnership between the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) and Monash University – two of the world's leading educational and research institutions. Together IITB and Monash are taking a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary research that can effectively deliver high impact, integrated solutions to complex research problems for industry, government and the broader research community.

Opening of The Academy
We are pleased to announce the formal opening of the IITB-Monash Research Academy. To honour this historical event a four day program of activities was held at the IIT Campus (Powai) Mumbai India, between the 26th-29th November 2008.

The events included

Thursday 27th November - Thematic Symposium Day 1: Computational Modelling: Structures, Materials and Fluid Mechanics

Friday 28th November - Thematic Symposium - Day 2: Biotechnology and Stem Cell Research
