Life at IITB Monash

Our students enjoy the best of two worlds. In this joint program, a student typically spends 3 years in IIT Bombay and 1 year in Monash University.

IIT Bombay is in Powai, a suburb of Mumbai. It has a beautiful campus located near the Powai Lake and bordering the Sanjay Gandhi National Park. Beyond its vibrant academic environment, IIT Bombay has a sylvan campus which is rich in natural flora and fauna. The campus offers a peaceful ambience to pursue research. IIT Bombay is arguably the best university in India and one of the top-ranking universities in Asia with its alumni leading many companies and research organizations.

Monash University is based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is the second oldest university in the state. It is a member of Australia's Group of Eight research universities and is consistently ranked among the world's top 55–70 universities in the QS World University Rankings.

It has four campuses in the greater Melbourne area. Each has a different style and environment, and offers numerous academic and social opportunities. Our students usually pursue their research work in the Clayton and/or Caulfield campuses.
