Pragyan Goswami is a PhD scholar at the joint IIT Bombay-Monash Research Academy, working under the supervision of Prof. Alankar (IITB) and Prof. Raman Singh (Monash University). His research focuses on utilizing machine learning (ML) for corrosion protection of metals using graphene. Specifically, he aims to optimize and produce high-quality graphene on metals through chemical vapor deposition (CVD) techniques enhanced by ML methods. Pragyan completed his Master's program in Materials Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, where he published three research papers on the atomistic deformation studies of magnesium and nickel using molecular dynamics simulation. His Bachelor's degree is in Mechanical Engineering from Assam Engineering College, Guwahati, where he graduated as the top-ranked student in his field. In addition to his academic pursuits, Pragyan is enthusiastic about various activities, including swimming, chess, and calisthenics. He also enjoys exploring and traveling to new places, where he immerses himself in different cultures and experiences. Pragyan's diverse interests help him maintain a well-rounded lifestyle, balancing his rigorous research with physical fitness and personal growth.
