Student Details

Sanket Deshpande was born and brought up in Nagpur, Maharashtra. He completed his Masters degree in Organic Chemistry from Nagpur University. The likes of Robert Woodward and EJ Corey gravitated him toward the art of Organic Synthesis. The internships and research programmes at IIT Bombay, CSIR-NCL Pune and JNARDDC Nagpur helped him develop keen interest in Research. After his short stint as Lecturer at Hislop College, Nagpur he joined IITB-Monash Research Academy in July 2022 working under the guidance of Prof. Nandita Madhavan(IITB) and Prof. Tanja Junkers(Monash University). He will be working on Peptide synthesis using Soluble Polymer Supports and scaling up at Industrial Level using Flow Chemistry. Sanket believes in understanding the philosophy behind a particular reaction that drives the understanding of the subject and will help solving new problem statements in research.
