Amal is a Joint Ph.D. scholar (July 2021 batch) at the IITB-Monash Academy from Wayanad, Kerala. He works on Magnesium Alloys as Biodegradable Human Implant Devices: Circumventing Human Body Fluid-assisted Catastrophic Fracture. He is currently working on understanding the susceptibility of Magnesium alloys to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in a simulated body fluid environment.
Amal conferred his master’s degree in Materials Science from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka (2021), and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala (2017). After his bachelor’s, he worked as a service engineer at Daikin Airconditioning India Private Limited. He is interested in developing cost-effective implant technologies and widening his scope toward cell culture studies.
