Meeta has completed her Bachelor's in Chemistry Honors from Miranda House, University of Delhi. Thereafter, she pursued her Master's in Environmental Studies and Resources Management from TERI School of Advanced Studies. During the course of her academic career she has done research-based internships with reputed organizations. Her project on the development of natural dyes in graduation had received lot of appreciation in the college. She carried out her master's dissertation from National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee and worked on a very novel concept in Indian scenario on developing a Watershed Scorecard for evaluation of the health of watershed in Bundelkhand Region. After her post-graduation, she worked with National Institute of Hydrology for 3 years on some of the critical and intense projects focusing on water resources management, vulnerability assessment due to climate change and adaptation planning. During the work tenure, she has published three research papers in international and national journals, presented two in international conferences and published one chapter in the book published by Springer. At the Academy, she is pursuing her Ph.D. on the project titled "Groundwater availability assessment for non-monsoon irrigation in arid regions of India" under the guidance of Dr. Pennan Chinnasamy (Supervisor, IITB) and Dr. Sina Alaghmand (Supervisor, Monash). Apart from studies, Meeta is quite passionate about reading novels, travelling and photography, sketching and craft work.
