Student Details

Since childhood, I was amazed by the living system and the science behind it. So, to view different fields of Life Sciences I joined St Xaviers College, Ranchi and completed my under graduation in Biotechnology. To delve deeper into the chemical aspect of biology I chose to study Masters in Biochemistry from University of Hyderabad. I worked on “Parameters influencing the stability and activity of HNLs from Baliospermum montanum”. With this work I was able to understand and perform Protein chemistry, assays and Characterisation. Post studies I worked in Syngene International as a Research Associate where I developed performed and validated studies and methods related to drug interactions, assays for Biosimilars. My experience in Protein chemistry and desire to understand and contribute to Drug chemistry and Physics has brought me to the project “Probing structure and recognition dynamics of proteins from SCF complex ubiqutin ligase”. During the tenure I will be working with Prof Ashutosh Kumar at IIT Bombay and Dr. Santosh Panjikar at Monash University, Australia. Apart from studies I love doing Art and Craft works and Dancing. Sightseeing and nature walks are always on my weekly to-do lists.
