Project title - Advancing Peptide-Based Biomaterials: Integrating Machine Learning, Molecular Dynamics, and Biophysical Experiments

Devina’s research focuses on peptide-based biomaterials, with an emphasis on understanding peptide self-assembly, aggregation, and peptide–membrane interactions using an integrated computational approach. Her work lies at the intersection of molecular dynamics simulations, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and biophysical studies to investigate how peptide sequence, structure, and molecular interactions influence their behaviour and function. By combining molecular-level simulations with data-driven approaches, her research aims to contribute to the rational understanding and design of functional peptide-based biomaterials.

Devina holds an Integrated M.Sc. in Chemistry from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur. Her research interests bring together computational chemistry, biomolecular modelling, and machine learning, allowing her to explore complex biological systems through molecular simulations and data-driven methods. Through her doctoral research at the IITB–Monash Research Academy, Devina aims to develop an interdisciplinary understanding of peptide-based systems and their potential applications in biomaterials and biomedical research.

Beyond research, Devina enjoys swimming and singing, and is also passionate about writing. She has contributed to anthologies and enjoys exploring creative writing alongside her scientific work.
