Amrutha Suresh is a joint IITB-Monash PhD candidate at the IIT Bombay Monash Research Academy. She is working under the supervision of Prof. Chandramouli Subramaniam from IIT Bombay and Prof. Neil Cameron from Monash University. Her PhD research focuses on developing porous polymer scaffolds for sodium and potassium ion supercapacitors. Her other research interests include electrocatalysis for water splitting and solar thermal-based water evaporation. She completed her Master's degree in Chemistry from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli in 2023. During her Master's, she worked on synthesizing and characterizing different electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). She received the Indian Academy of Sciences summer research fellowship and completed her internship at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) Hyderabad in 2022, focusing on the synthesis of electrode materials for supercapacitors and lithium-ion batteries. She received her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 2021 from Christ College (Autonomous) Irinjalakuda, affiliated with Calicut University, Kerala.
