From completing my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Biotechnology, and now pursuing a PhD in an interdisciplinary mix of Physics, Bioinformatics and Machine Learning, I am glad to be in this research journey integrating different fields of science and technology. I am currently working with Dr. Mithun Mitra, IIT Bombay and Dr. Sonika Tyagi, Monash University to develop a pipeline for efficient analysis of genomic information. I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Thenmalarchlevi during my Master’s at IIT Hyderabad, on the genomic and proteomic analysis of SARS-CoV-2 in non-human infections as well as environmental surveillance. My thirst for research grew during my time in her lab, and I had the opportunity to publish my work in 2 international journals.
