Akhilesh Panwar has completed his bachelor (BTech) in Electrical Engineering from Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. He did his masters (MTech) with a specialization in Energy System from the Institute of Technology, Nirma University. During his masters, he pursued his research interest in investigating the power system stability in presence of non-inertial sources. He is the recipient of the gold medal for his academic performance during his masters. After completion of his masters, he worked for 04 years as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Technology, Nirma University. During his academic career, he developed his research interest in the field of power system operations and control. He has published his research in journals (IET-GTD, T&F-EPCS, IET-ESI, and Elsevier-EPSR) as well as in international conferences. During his tenure at IITB-Monash Research Academy, Akhilesh will be researching the role of Artificial Intelligence in power system operation and control through the project titled “Artificial Intelligence enabled large scale renewable energy integration into the power system”. He will be guided by Dr. Zakir Hussain Rather and Dr. Suryanarayana Doolla from IIT Bombay as well as by Dr. Ariel Liebmani and Dr. Roger Dargaville from Monash University. Apart from academics, he has a deep interest in Athletics and playing Basketball.
