Rajeshwari Muthukumaran

Rajeshwari is currently pursuing her PhD under the supervision of Dr. Rashmi Gupta (IIT Bombay), Antonio Verdejo-Garcia (Monash University) and Naomi Kakoschke (Monash University) on the project titled “the interactive effect of cognition, emotion, and motivation on behaviour”. She did her post- graduation (M.Sc Clinical Psychology) from Christ University in 2017. Her Masters dissertation was on effectiveness of hippotherapy on sociability aspects of children with autism. After graduating she worked as a special educator at APL Global School, Tamil Nadu, and wrote blogs on relationships and marital issues for askmile.com. Her keen interest in cognition, biological psychology and interactive models to explain behaviors that are applicable in real life drove her towards the project at IITB- Monash Academy. Rajeshwari is passionate about teaching and her other research interests include mind- wandering, sleep, mood disorders, autism, learning and memory. She is a person open to experience, and, can be found in places which reek of humour and good food.
