Short Bio and Details:

Aniket is an early-career researcher with a strong passion for cancer biology, currently pursuing translational research at the IITB-Monash Research Academy. He completed his Bachelor's in Microbiology (Hons.) from the University of Calcutta (2022) and earned his M.Sc. in Life Science from NIT Rourkela. Along the way, he qualified for GATE XL in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and gained hands-on training in molecular biology during a summer internship at CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad, in 2023.

In 2024, Aniket cleared the CSIR-UGC NET Junior Research Fellowship and joined the IMURA 1165 project in January 2025. His current research focuses on building a clinically meaningful computational model of breast cancer, with an eye toward improving diagnosis and treatment strategies.

During his Master's, Aniket investigated the role of autophagy in oral cancer progression, an experience that deepened his interest in the intricate mechanisms driving tumor biology.

Outside the lab, he enjoys discovering new cuisines, exploring new places, watching sitcoms and stand-up comedy, and occasionally sketching when inspiration strikes.
