Short Bio and Project Details:
I am a data analytics professional with an MSc degree in Geoinformatics from the TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi and a bachelors degree in Geophysics from the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Nigeria. I have practical experience in applying machine learning and AI techniques to various problems with published works on ML application in high impact journals. I have worked as a research consultant at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in Ibadan, Nigeria, the largest agricultural research institute in Africa, where I utilised AI analytics and remote sensing datasets to map banana footprints in the West African subregion.
Currently, at the IITB-Monash Research Academy, I am working on accelerating smart building solutions using advanced data analytics and optimization. My work involves developing algorithms to enhance virtual sensing and analytics, which improve the detection and correction of anomalies in sensors and smart building components. Additionally, I am conducting experiments and optimization approaches to balance occupants’ comfort with energy consumption.
