Short Bio and Project Details:
Anjali C V joined the IITB Monash Research Academy in the December 2023 intake, under the supervision of Prof. Karthikeyan Lanka (IIT Bombay) and Prof. Jeffrey Walker (Monash University).
Her PhD research will explore the potential of P-band passive microwave remote sensing for soil moisture and vegetation analysis. Anjali holds a BTech in Agricultural Engineering from Kerala Agricultural University and an MTech in Water Engineering and Management from IIT Kharagpur.
Her role as an Agricultural Engineer at IPTIF has deepened her understanding of the intricate relationship between the environment and crop productivity. This PhD endeavour marks a significant step towards her aspiration of promoting sustainable agriculture and managing natural resources effectively, using remote sensing. Outside of academia, Anjali enjoys playing badminton, practising yoga, and meditation.
