Ajay Kumar completed his bachelor’s degree in biotechnology at Panjab University, laying the academic foundation for his illustrious career in research and engineering. He earned his master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, where he conducted research under the guidance of Prof. Meenu Chhabra. During his master's program, he focused on “Fuel gas carbon capture using photosynthetic microbial fuel cells (PMFC)”, showcasing his commitment to addressing environmental challenges through innovative approaches. Subsequently, he embarked on a Ph.D. journey as an IITB-Monash University Ph.D. fellow, working with Prof. Arnab Dutta and Prof. Paul A. Webley on the project "Novel CO2 capture and process technology development." Currently, his research revolves around CO2 sequestration using microalgae and transforming it into value-added products.
