Amit Varakhedkar has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai in 2020. He is a doctorate student at the IITB-Monash Research Academy where he is supervised by Prof. Ravi Jagadeeshan (Monash University) and Prof. P. Sunthar (IIT Bombay). He would be working on the topic 'Understanding the physical response of cells to force by simulating the mechanics of sticky biopolymer networks'.
