Prasanth Babu is quite fascinated in using his expertise in pipette and keyboard in metabolic engineering and synthetic biology. He has been offered University International Leadership Scholarship by University of Glasgow for postgraduate studies in Biotechnology and Management. Soon after his B. Tech in Biotechnology from Anna University, Chennai he had been associated with Purius Nanosystems Pvt. Ltd. (IIT Madras Bioincubator Cell) as a part of DBT sponsored BCIL - Biotech Industrial Training Program. His passion towards Entrepreneurship led him to Jagriti Yatra 2017 (World's longest train journey for aspiring youth) and Global Scholars Symposium 2018 at Oxford University (Navigating uncertainties in Global challenges). He is currently enrolled with IITB Monash Research Academy for the project titled, "Microplastics in the aquatic environment: Fate and Transport dynamics" in supervision of Prof. Sumit Saxena (IIT Bombay), Prof. Shobha Shukla (IIT Bombay) and Dr. Tanveer Adyel (Monash Supervisor).
