Student Details

Nimita has completed her B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Cummins College in University of Pune in 2012 and her M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IE&OR) from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2016. During her Master's thesis she worked on finding improved solutions for large-scale optimization problem (facility layout problem). Before joining IITB-Monash in January 2018, she had been working as Optimization Analyst at White Data System India Pvt. Ltd. She has worked on developing mathematical models and solving logistics problem as a part of her work. At IITB-Monash Research Academy, she would be working on a project called 'Convex Optimization Techniques for Structured Global Optimization Problems', which will focus on theoretical approaches to finding the solutions for large-scale optimization problems.
