Kriti joined the IITB-Monash Academy as a doctoral student in June 2023. Currently, she is working under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Sonali Das (Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Bombay), Prof. Alan Chaffee (School of Chemistry, Monash University) and Prof. Akshat Tanksale (Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering, Monash University), on the development of photothermal catalysts for light driven CO2 hydrogenation. Hailing from Uttarakhand, the majestic Himalayan state blessed with towering mountains and meandering rivers, Kriti completed her integrated Masters in Chemistry from Doon University, Uttarakhand. Her journey into research began during her undergraduate years, where she cultivated a keen interest in the development of nanoparticles with diverse morphologies for wastewater treatment. This early fascination blossomed further during her Master's thesis, focusing on the innovative development of nanoparticles designed to mimic enzymes at the nano-scale. Her professional experience includes valuable roles as a Project Assistant at CSIR-CSIO and an Analyst at Agilent Technologies, where she gained hands-on experience and deepened her commitment to scientific exploration. Apart from her academic pursuits, she is an avid reader and traveler, and an amateur mandala artist, finding comfort in research and creativity alike.
