Short Bio and Project Details:

Diya Singh joined the IITB-Monash Research Academy in July 2024. Her research work is being jointly supervised by Prof. Sankara Sarma V Tatiparti (IITB) and Prof. Laure Bourgeois (Monash University).

She is carrying out her PhD in the area of clean energy, with a focus on developing advanced materials for hydrogen storage, aiming to support sustainable energy technologies. The research involves the synthesis of novel Mg-based nanocomposites and their thorough microstructural and spectroscopic characterization to understand hydrogen uptake/release mechanisms for near-ambient hydrogen storage.

Prior to joining the Academy, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, followed by a Master of Science degree in Physics from the Central University of Punjab. She also gained one year of research experience while working as a Junior Research Fellow at MNIT Jaipur.

Apart from research, she enjoys sketching and listening to music.
