She completed her Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics engineering from ABES Engineering College Noida. During her studies she found remote sensing as the flourishing and interesting field. She joined Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, ISRO; to pursue M.Tech in Remote Sensing and GIS with specialization in Satellite Image Analysis and Phtogrammetry. During her Masters she attended and presented her work at International and National conferences and published two conference papers. Her work comprised of study about Impact of interferometric wavenumber on PolInSAR inversion of space-borne SAR data. After completion of her Masters she joined Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment, DRDO, Chandigarh as Research Fellow and worked on glacier feature extraction using optical and microwave remote sensing data. A part of her work got published in Earth Science journal. To explore new areas and further hone her interest in the field of agriculture, she started working as Research Associate at Indian Agricultural Research Institute. Her work focused on soil moisture mapping from near surface measurements for supporting agro- advisories in rain-fed agriculture. Her work was presented and published at two international conferences held by International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. At IITB-Monash Research Academy she would be working under the guidance of Dr. J. Indu (IITB) and Dr. Jeff walker (Monash University) on ‘Assimilation of SMOS and SMAP soil moisture and brightness temperature into a land surface model.’ Her interests include leisure travelling, dancing, cooking and likes to be an epicure.
