Science has been my passion since my school days. I was particularly fascinated by the dynamic nature of proteins and their role in cellular processes. During my Bachelor’s, I had got an opportunity to pursue an internship at Indian Statistical Institute (ISI, Kolkata), where I have an experience in working with antibacterial drugs against human pathogens. My undergraduate research project, involved the studying of enzyme kinetics and epigenetic modulations of DNA in malnutrition. During my Master’s in Biotechnology at IIT, Hyderabad, I have worked in developing immune-informatics approach for peptide-based vaccine design and also worked on protein characterisation and its interaction with drugs. My passion towards research grew during this period and I had an opportunity to publish my research works in reputed international journals.

I am currently working with Prof. Ashutosh Kumar, IIT Bombay , Prof. Santosh Panjikar and Prof. Senthil Armugam , Monash University in investigating the structural insights of intrinsically disordered S-phase kinase proteins and its roles in various cancer and biological processes. These project integrates the field of structural biology and cancer biology with a potential towards developing targeted therapeutics in the field of healthcare. I am glad to be in this research journey in integrating different fields of science and technology at IITB-Monash Research Academy.

Beyond my academic interests, I enjoy playing chess and the tabla and exploring new cultures, cuisines, and places.
