Student Details

Zaid Yaqoob Mir Rangrez earned his B.E. in Civil Engineering from University of Kashmir in 2016. Thereafter, he did a voluntary internship for a period of one year at Road Research and Material Testing Laboratory, Design Inspection & Quality Control Department, Srinagar. He earned his M.Tech. in Structural Engineering from National Institute of Technology Srinagar in 2019. His Master’s thesis focused on the development of a Graphite based Conductive concrete mix for the application of improvised de-icing of concrete overlays. Prior to joining the IITB-Monash Academy, he worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Govt. College of Engineering and Technology, Safapora, Ganderbal, Kashmir. At the Academy, he would be working, as a Doctoral candidate, on the Project titled ‘Machine Learning for Improved Value of Information of Structural Health Monitoring’ under the supervision of Prof. Jayadipta Ghosh (IIT Bombay), Prof. Colin Caprani (Monash University) and Prof. Siddhartha Ghosh (IIT Bombay).
